What’s at stake
The EU regulation on artificial intelligence (AI Act) imposes obligations already in force: the duty to train staff on AI since February 2025 (article 4), obligations on general-purpose AI models since August 2025, and stricter rules for high-risk systems from 2026-2027. The maximum penalty is €35 million or 7% of global revenue.
